Who we are
TigerUp is run by an independent developer based in the Philippines (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for the data described here. For anything about your data, email support@tigerup.dev.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, your display name if you add one, and your password, stored only as a secure hash.
- Your organizations: their names, and the email addresses of people you add as members.
- Your monitors: their names, the URLs or hosts they check, and their settings, including any custom request headers and body. Header values you mark as secret are encrypted.
- Check results: when each check ran, whether it passed, the status code, the response time and any error, plus the incidents opened from failed checks.
- Alert channels and status pages: the email addresses, Slack webhook URLs and webhook URLs you add for alerts, and the status pages you create.
- How you found us: if the link you first arrived on carried
utm_sourceorutm_campaigntags, we keep those two values in your browser and save them with your account when you sign up.
If you import from UptimeRobot, the API key you paste is used for the import and then dropped. We don't store it.
How we use it
We use your data to run TigerUp: to run your checks, send your alerts, show your dashboard and status pages, and email you about your account (for example, password resets and important service notices). We use the sign-up source only to learn which links bring people to TigerUp. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
We use a cookie to keep you signed in and another to remember which organization you have open. Your browser's local storage holds the sign-up source described above. We don't use analytics, advertising or other third-party tracking scripts.
How long we keep it
- Check results are kept for as long as your plan's check history, shown on the pricing page, and then deleted. If your organization moves to a plan with a shorter history, older results are deleted.
- Everything else is kept while your account and organizations exist. When you delete a monitor or an organization, its data is deleted with it. To delete your account, email support@tigerup.dev.
- Our hosting providers keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses and requests, for security.
Who helps us run TigerUp
We share data only with the services that run TigerUp for us, and only what they need:
- Vercel hosts this website.
- A cloud hosting provider runs our servers and database.
- An email delivery provider sends our emails and your email alerts.
- Polar (polar.sh) handles payments for paid plans as the merchant of record. Polar collects your payment details under its own privacy policy, and tells us your subscription status. We never see your card.
- Slack and your webhook endpoints receive your alerts, because you set them up to.
These providers may process data in countries other than yours.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change most of your data in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@tigerup.dev. We'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your data protection regulator, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Philippines' National Privacy Commission.
Children
TigerUp is a tool for developers and businesses. It isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page, and for significant changes we'll email you before they take effect.
